Spring Show & Sale 2024
– Thursday 4th April at Gort Mart, Co. Galway (evening sale)
– Pedigree heifers from 10 months (don’t have to be haltered)
– Pedigree bulls from 14 months (must be haltered)
– All animals to be pre-inspected.
– Contact society 0505-42245 for pre-inspection forms, or download
– Pre-inspection Notification Forms to be returned by 16th February.
Shows 2024
Roscrea Preparatory Day
The multi-breed show prep day in Roscrea Mart is on Saturday 27th April. This is a great opportunity to give animals a first day out in a safe space. It’s also a great opportunity for new exhibitors to meet experienced exhibitors and get advice.
Show Classes & Cut Off Dates 2024:
(Note change in cut off dates to 1st August)
– Pedigree Salers cow in calf or with pedigree calf at foot
– Pedigree Salers senior heifer born on or after 01/08/’21 and before 01/08/’22
– Pedigree Salers junior heifer born on or after 01/08/’22 and before 01/08/’23
– Pedigree Salers bull calf born on or after 01/08/’23
– Pedigree Salers heifer calf born on or after 01/08/’23
– Separate senior calf (01/08/23 – 30/11/23) & junior calf (born 01/12/’23 onwards) classes for Tullamore
– Bull class in Tullamore only
Exhibitors will need to check each individual show’s schedule.
*** ALL cattle must have a show outing under their belt before Tullamore. ***
