The Salers heifer sale held in Gort Mart each October has gone from strength to strength, with repeat buyers from across the country sourcing their replacement heifers at the sale. The demand for quality in-calf heifers and strong, well-grown maiden heifers is very encouraging.
This year’s sale in Gort will take place on Saturday 16th October.
The sale will consist of elite pre-inspected pedigree registered heifers (in-calf, maiden and weanlings from 8 months) as well as top quality commercial heifers.
We ask that pedigree breeders wishing to enter heifers in the pedigree section contact the society on 0505 42245, John Keating on 086 6065868 or Declan Bell on 086 1941485 by Friday 6th August in order to facilitate pre-inspection.
Entry forms will be available on www.irishsalers.com shortly and will also be posted to pedigree breeders. The cost of entry is €5 per animal in both the pedigree and commercial classes.
